We take this honor very seriously and always look for special opportunities to get involved, give back and help our community thrive. This year, we thought we’d involve our amazing readers as well, and do a 3-part blog series focused on giving back.
Read on and check back in with us each week this month for ideas, interviews and amazing opportunities. We will outline our December donation drives, detail other local non-profit opportunities, and discuss the best ways to recycle leftover holiday food. Thank you for joining us!
Toys for Tots Drive
Did you know that we serve as a Toys for Tots drop-off location every December? Bring in your new (in boxes) toys for girls and boys of all ages to donate to children in need across the community. We will be accepting donations until December 15, 2017. Want us to pick up your donation? Contact us or call 301.927.8800 and we’ll swing by with our truck. Thank you in advance for your participation!
Many people are in great need of the basic necessities that we tend to take for granted, especially winter coats. As temperatures dip, winter coats can provide critical protection against the elements and even save lives. Throughout December, we will be collecting winter coats for people in need. We’ll be glad to pick up any new or gently used winter coats of all styles and sizes to help donate.
Check in with us again next week to see more opportunities to lend a helping hand. We strongly believe in the hearts of those in our community, and are excited to partner with you to do more this holiday season.
