Sewall-Belmont House and Museum

Sewall-Belmont House & Museum
Capitol Hill - Corner of Constitution Avenue and 2nd Street NE

Sewall-Belmont House & Museum is a national Historic Landmark designation and the only historic home and garden for rent on Capitol Hill. The museum offers a unique and appealing setting for your special event. Sewall-Belmont House & Museum has been a center of political and cultural activity for over 200 years, first as a private residence, then as the headquarters of the National Woman’s Party.

The museum is ideal for large or small groups, with exterior tented garden or gallery spaces available. The venue can host seated dinners, standing receptions, conferences, presentations with theatre-style seating, or smaller meetings. During events, guests have access to the historic section of the house.

Conveniently located on Capitol Hill, Sewall-Belmont House & Museum is in close proximity to Senate and House offices, the Supreme Court and the Capitol building. The museum is located within walking distance of both Union Station, with metro service to the red line, and Capitol South, with metro service to the blue and orange lines.
