Today we are looking ahead to a quickly-approaching new year. 2018—can you believe it? We see the wrap-up of 2017 as a time for reflection on some of our best moments and a time to look forward to what the future holds. What better way to do this than with the people we love, and with a wonderful celebration? If you, like us, will be cheering in the New Year, then these quick-tips and cocktail recipes are all you’ll need!
NYE Party Quick-Tips
1.) Incorporate Games
Ring in the new year in fantastic spirits with non-stop laughter from some of your favorite games. Think charades, Pictionary or Family Feud. Writing down your resolutions this year? Turn this tradition into a game as well by having guests guess who wrote each one.
2.) Stick to Finger Foods
If you’re serving food, stay away from heavy meals that may make guests feel sleepy. To ensure that they make it until midnight, offer some late-night snacks and finger foods, keeping things fresh and keeping the energy flowing. And don’t forget the deserts—serve up a sugar surge by offering plenty of sweet-treat options as it gets later.
3.) Craft the Ambiance
From sparkling décor to match your champagne to the sweet crooning of Sinatra, plan details that make the night truly magical. Craft a playlist dedicated to a fresh start by featuring songs like Tony Bennett’s “The Best is Yet to Come.”
