This facility was designed for NYU by Hickok Cole Architects; the general contractor was the Sigal Corporation. Construction of the building commenced in December 2010 and dedicated September 24, 2012. The University is applying for LEED Silver Certification for the building.
NYU Washington, DC provides a home-away-from-home for faculty and researchers traveling to Washington, and as a gathering space for our many alumni in the capital area. It also serves as a venue for dynamic public programming, featuring NYU faculty and leaders from the government, business, and cultural worlds. The building is a multi-use facility containing state-of-the-art seminar rooms, student apartments, faculty offices and residential space, research space, and a 150-seat auditorium.
This beautiful banquet and conference facility offers a full range of flexible spaces to meet your needs. The third floor Reading Room is ideal for seated banquets for up to 60, and can be utilized for casual and formal receptions with full use of the terrace overlooking L Street. The Weissberg Seminar Room is available for smaller lectures and events, and will comfortably seat 45 in theater-row seating. The main level glass-enclosed Catherine Reynolds Foundation Lobby provides the perfect first impression or post-event networking opportunity for a reception accommodating as many as 150 guests. Finally, the Abramson Family Auditorium is ideal for lectures, panels and large meetings, with 122 fixed seats and a full range of audio-visual capabilities.
